MR CARTOON biografia dios de dioses

Since the age of 6, Cartoon realized he was an artist and
went on to his first paying art job at the age of 12. Having
grown up in the Harbor area of Los Angeles, young Cartoon
adopted the legendary L.A. Lowrider Fineline style, which
was developed in the California Prison System and hard
streets of L.A. Ironically enough, it is that art that is now
gracing the skins of today's biggest pop and hip-hop stars.
Earning his nickname on the street, his art got him out of
trouble & landed him a career. He conquered many forms of
art, such as graffiti, sign painting, automotive murals, and
magazine illustrations. These paved the way for the ultimate
canvas: human flesh, where no mistakes are allowed and
what no universities teach.

Surrounding himself with talented artists and non-stop practice became the ultimate formula. Hooking up with Estevan Oriol in 1992, and later Cypress Hill, gave Cartoon his artistic team. Cartoon and Estevan tag teamed the art world with shows in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, displaying their paintings and photos of the streets of L.A.

Tattooing is what draws most magazines and clients to Cartoon. He has only been tattooing for a short time but has gained respect from many of the old school tattoo legends, as well as getting major recognition worldwide. His inspirations are Jack Rudy, OG Able, Lucky Alvarez, and Baby Ray. His client list includes Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Beyonce Knowles (Destiny's Child), Tyson Beckford, Travis Barker (Blink 182), Nas, Redman, Goodie Mob, Mobb Deep, Cypress Hill, Method Man, Limp Biscuit, Xzibit, Treach (Naughty by Nature), Fat Joe, DJ Premiere, Sugar Ray, Big Boi (Outkast), and Pharrell (Neptunes) to name a few.

Cartoon has also been featured in Source Magazine, Vibe, the Fader, Rolling Stone, Details, Detour, Entertainment Weekly, and Lowrider Magazine. He has created artwork for Levi's, Deftones, X-Large Clothing, and Black Flys, and has designed album covers for Eazy E, Cypress Hill, D12, and the Transplants.

Not only is he dominating the illustration and tattoo worlds, but now he's ready with his secret weapons: designing clothes and jewelry, and they are ready to explode. He is part owner of Joker Brand Clothing Company, heading the design and art department, and his jewelry line features diamond and platinum custom pieces, that are already in high demand by entertainers worldwide.

Letting go of the party lifestyle, Cartoon is free to travel to Japan and Europe to promote the tattoo and lowrider, urban experience. Through it all, Cartoon feels like his success is due in part to his team, especially to his Soul Assassins family.
